It will someday be a question in some sort of Fin de Siècle edition of Trivial Pursuit:

What was the original name of the military operation undertaken by the US in Afghanistan, now known as Operation: Enduring Freedom? [Bonus: Why was it changed?]

PS: I'm probably going to go on at some length about 9/11 in the next couple of days. Tolerate it or ignore it... it's still something that weighs heavily on my mind.
