Geeking Out, Part Two

I like this whole Blogger thing much better than I like LiveJournal. I sort of don't like the whole community idea over there. Over there, I'm constantly realizing that I'm writing for an audience, which is not how a journal should be.

And I like that here, on my own web site, I have as much control over the way my journal looks as HTML can handle. I've been tooling with this template since I started on Friday, and today (the day I got Photoshop on my PC here at work, at long last!) I added what I consider a badass graphic with the title of the journal overall (shamelessly stolen from Joe Satriani). (The old look of the site can be seen here. -jsm 10/04/05) I'm also proud of the fact that I was able to transfer the day-count of my life over to the front page of this site without anything breaking.

So, more entries about the journal, the meta-entries I so loved writing back in the day, are sure to follow, as I tool and fiddle with the innards of this system.
