How we recover

I'm not sure I'm ever going to remember all the little membership cards and stuff that was in my wallet. I found my previous wallet (see?!? It pays to be a pack-rat sometimes), and its contents are as follows:

  • Driver's license (replaced 12/14, in a very pleasant experience, btw);
  • Gate access instructions to my storage place, with new entrance code (replaced 12/17);
  • Credit card (replaced 12/16);
  • Business card of the MPD officer who responded to our 311 call, with our CCN# on the back (received 12/14);
  • Some money.

That means my wallet's about 90% less substantial than it used to be.

It has not been an easy week, but the process of getting back my vital-info cards has been easier than I would have hoped. The only one I really need to get back is my Voter Registration card. Everything else (Staples, Replay, AAA) I'll eventually get replaced.

OT: If anyone knows whether or not a Microsoft Optical Mouse 2.0 will work with a Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse Blue's receiver, please comment to this entry. (The geniuses who stole the laptop took the receiver for the Mouse 2.0, thinking (I guess) that it was the mouse. Nice work, Einstein.)
