Blackout ends

After a grueling 167 hours, our internet blackout here at Waterhouse has ended. A storm a week ago sent a lightning bolt hurtling into the house, which did some unpretty things to our connection. We have a temporary modem now in, and should be getting the permanent replacement in the next day or so.

In the past week, I've written two spectacularly geeky posts which I'm going to place where they would go normally (back-dating rules!).
