Yes, I'm still here.

I just haven't felt the need to write at the moment. There's some stuff going on, but most of it y'all don't need to be poking your nose around in.

Quick update 1: Brushing up on database shit, to the end of starting the DIY ColdFusion class. We'll see how that goes.

Quick update 2: I think either my insulin resistance has dropped or I'm not getting enough carbs in my meals, because four times in the past week I've had low sugar moments after eating. It just doesn't quite make sense to me that I'm taking a fast-acting insulin when my sugar is in the 80's. Hopefully the doctor's appointment at the end of the month will go some way in rectifying that in some fashion.

Quick update 3: Saw Craig this week, who's on the East Coast for vaca. It was good hanging with him again... twice I've seen him in a year, after not seeing him for several. Reminds me that I've largely been blessed with the roommates I've had.

Quick update 4: I'm going to have some well-thought-out positions regarding socialized medicine and the insurance industry here in a bit, one of those "I know from whence I speak" rants I go on. Pay attention.

Quick update 5: Going to Colorado in September (it'll be nice to not be in Washington or New York for 9/11 for once). It's gonna be good:

  • Round trip flight to & from DCA - $300 for both of us
  • Three nights at a four-star in downtown Denver - $150
  • Ford Escape for a week, from Hertz - $230
  • Three nights at Red Rocks w/ Dave Matthews - $360 for both of us, but really... priceless.
Not to mention all the driving around we get to do in the Loveland - Breck - Silverthorne - Dillon area we'll be doing. Aw yeah.

Its about time. Sorry to hear you are feeling periodically woozy. Could it just be the heat? Sweat and dehydration and whatnot?

Good luck on Coldfusion. I have absolutely no idea what the heck it is, but I hope nothing blows up on you.

Craig is in Brooklyn tonight. I am looking forward to it. Dinner and drinks. He shall crash and then he's off tomorrow back to DC. A ton of driving, but should be good.

Loves that socialized medicine. Preach on brother!

Priceless indeed. Have you picked up on DMB doing the Monday night Football intro? Freaky. I think Dave might be going nuts.
