I tried keeping a journal for 10 years. I guess I was successful at it for about 9.5 of them. Then I ran out of stuff to say. I don't expect this to change much, but I'm all for trying.
I went out to get a book at Barnes and Noble. Wasn't really sure which book, just a book. Ended up buying Cryptonomicon. It looked interesting, none of my other friends had ever said they'd read it, and the paper was of decent quality (thin yet durable).
I'm still nursing a nearly-gaping head wound received at work on Monday. I still think I should have gone for stitches, but the two EMTs at work still think it will be okay, and will heal without scarring. The nice thing about being bald is the easy access I have to dressing it. Shaving around it is a pain in the ass, however.
I don't understand why all of the parks along the DW Parkway close after dark. I don't like it. Right now, I really wouldn't mind wrapping up in a blanket and sitting right next to the river.
I've settled on a pair of names for the kittens I'll be adopting in January or February: Nipsy and Russell. My friend Liz is jealous of those names.
I started a fantasy hockey league today and had four other people join up in under two hours despite minimal promotion. I like that. While I was at BN today, I broke down and bought THN's guide for the season - I don't like theirs as much, but it's the only one I can find down here.
I need to vacuum, and shave, and do laundry. And for the second consecutive weekend, I have to work on a Sunday night. But they are going to spring for a cell phone for me, which is nice of them, I guess. I don't really need a cell phone, though. I need quarters for the laundry machine. Eh.
